There is an interesting little story on MSNBC about teens getting their alcohol from adults, and believe it or not from their PARENTS! Yes, it has finally become uncool to hide your under-age drinking from your parents because it is much better to just ask them for it! What is going on?
You can find the article HERE

It's still interesting how they got their alcohol 25% of the time, free from an unrelated adult.
Anyways, it makes sense that "like parent, like child." For me, it might be because I never saw my parents drink that much, or wasn't aware of it (truth be told, I know my parents, like most, have alcohol from time to time, but never to excess or anything like that).
It's also because I know that a clear mind is too important to impair to that extent. It feels so good to get smashed. You lose control, you're sick, and could potentially die from overconsumption. Yeah, rock on... how stupid does that sound?
On that note, "say it ain't so Kiefer!" I love Mr. Sutherland, thanks to his portrayal of Jack Bauer, but much like people love their Robert Downey Jr., we all hope that they can find ways to stay clean so that we can enjoy them for their talents and all the good that they do. They're good guys, I believe, at heart. They're very talented, but just into some bad stuff.
Like Farley, except for the fact that I believe Chris understood faith so much better.
The lesson to be found here is that children, for better or worse, will take on the traits of their parents, more often than not. A child of someone who yells is likely going to be pretty good at it. A child of a drunk is likely to be alcoholic. A child of a liar is going to be more deceptive than an honest person's kid.
Let's hope we are so much more like our Heavenly Father than anyone else.
